The laser won't show at all when you try casting a spell if you have more than 1 Illusion Dust as the effect that's supposed to show when using an Optic Lens.
Reproduce:
1. Make a wand with Illusion Dust and an Optic Lens.
2. Go to the Artist and choose Illusion Dust as the active effect.

Thanks for reporting this! Unfortunately I can't reproduce this on my computer!
I do have a few ideas for what might be causing it though.
Do the soul contract or philosopher stone lasers show up also? Their particle systems behave sort of similarly under the hood. I'm hoping they have a common cause.
Also in the folder "assets\\textures\\particle\\" is there a png file called "multishot_laser.png"? It could be the asset image for the laser didn't even get shipped out properly.

The other effects are showing up, and yes, I do have the file and it seems to be working again now.
I don't know why it stopped working, but hey, it fixed itself.
