Hello,
first of all, sorry for posting this here. It's not really a bug, but this problem prevents me from playing the game, so I thought I could just post it here.
Now to my problem. I have a Sony VAIO sve151b11n laptop with an integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics card. My game runs on 10 fps. I have tried everything, including all the suggestions found on the different forums. Unfortunately, there is no way to deactivate vsync on my graphics card. I only get 2 options: "on" and "application settings".
I searched on the intel forums, and there really doesn't seem to be any way to deactivate it.
Is there a way to fix this? I tried the demo, I liked the idea of the game and then bought it on steam hoping that that issue would resolve itself somehow... well, I was wrong of course.
Is there anything I could do besides getting a new PC?
Thanks
Reia

Recently we added an option to make Magicmaker play nice with vsync.
Go to "F:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Magicmaker\assets\data\" and find a file called GLOBAL. Open in up in notepad and find the line:
FALSE ; enable vsync
and change it to:
TRUE ; enable vsync
Save and close global.
If that doesn't fix it, please let me know!

Does setting the graphics options (object count/particle count) to low do anything to alleviate the problem?

I'm running it in windowed mode (1024x768), with everything set to low, and the window resize option turned off. All it did, was getting me to 13-14 fps.
What I noticed, is that at the loading screen, it starts with around 200fps, and then drops down to ~10fps. I removed the loading screen, but it still gives me the same result.
On a side note, there was a little exe file that I found in one of the forums, which made the demo run perfectly fine for me, only problem was that it had no text, and so i still couldn't play it. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore, and I don't remember the exact website.

The exe was experimental, and was missing a lot of important stuff. I don't think we'll be able to get any use out of it. Try replacing model.exe with exe. It has steamworks disabled, which should lessen the load on your computer: www.dropbox.com/s/trq9ehb6of7jwdr/model.exe?dl=0I'm going to keep working at this, but to be honest the Sony VAIO sve151b11n is not a very powerful machine and I'm not gonna be able to guarantee Magicmaker will ever run smoothly on it. I am working on an experimental feature that lessens the difficulty of playing the game at low frame rates, but its very early and its still too buggy to share with the general public. I am sorry.

The file does not change anything.
I am aware of that fact. I run most of my games on lowest graphics settings, just to keep the gameplay as smooth as possible. I actually don't really mind if the game looks uglier. I care more about mechanics anyway, so if there is anything that can be done in that direction, I'd be okay with it.
I noticed that the game runs at full speed when I resize the window, and make it quite small. (about 400x300) The hud is just in the way most of the time, and at some places I am forced to make the window bigger again to actually see the UI.
I know the chances are quite low to make it work, so I appreciate the effort even more. For now, I'll stick with resizing the window, because I can not wait to play this awesome game! xD

Well I'm glad you're able to play the game, even if its in such an inconvenient way.
Don't forget you can press "m" to minimize the minimap and get it out of your way. I hope that makes it a bit easier to play.
