I've been wondering, what interesting and entertaining spells have people developed? Not necessarily high-damage, but anything that you found you liked.
I myself have managed near-perfect flight, using the highest possible grade Rift Crystal and Fairy Wing materials on my wand, and Harpy Feathers on my robe. The robe slows your fall quite dramatically, especially if you have multiple feathers on it, which works well with the Rift Crystal to lessen the loss of height before you teleport again, and the Fairy Wings let you fire much faster, teleporting multiple times per second. Using that you can effectively fly anywhere you want, though it does make combat rather difficult if you don't have good spells.
So, for anyone who just doesn't know what to talk about; Go forth, discover the truly comedic, interesting and useful spells, share them here. Let us see who among us has the talent for spotting non-combat value.

My favorite spell is, and will probably always be, Repulsor Energy stacking. Slime Heart + Rock + Seashell robe for maximum human-projectile madness.
In the castle zone I use Spider Silk + Prism + Slime Heart for maximum illumination.

Wow, that's actually pretty cool. I'll admit, I've done little with the Repulsor Energy, having thrown myself into the ground at the feet of a large swarm of enemies far too many times for me to use it effectively, but that other spell... I never even considered the possibility of the trail continuing to emit light. This is a great revelation indeed! And with it I shall no longer need my Robe of Vampire's Sparkling (Custom name).

Repulsor Energy is amazing if you stack Fairy Wings on your robe for multiple jumps. Here's a little animation I made utilizing the Repulsor Flight Method. (warning inappropriate language?) I have mana steal on that wand, too, so its usability is somewhere between mildly helpful and totally impractical.

That gif.
That gif is beautiful.
(A side note, I fixed the bug with the left end of the world not having invisible walls and causing the player to warp back to the starting location, and it'll be in the next update)

Okay, yeah, I had to register for this one. Elasticity robe (two sticky slime + that movement speed gear) combined with repulsor wand (probably 3x rep, 1x fairy wing). Apparently, when you go fast enough, you turn completely and totally invincible and start doing utterly ridiculous damage (20 damage per pixel passed through? More?) when you pass through things. With 95% elasticity, the extra speed from the gear, and repulsion propulsion? You never have to slow down.
Without using a single damaging spell (well, I guess the wand counts since I didn't remember to turn it into an enchant, but whatev'.), I just basically three-shot the entire doctorate desert boss line -- that is, each of the three worms died in one passthrough, and I got hurt all of once when I slowed down a little.
Also it took like under a minute to cross the entire stage and drop the boss worms like chumps.
It was beautiful. Flaming pinball apotheosis. I am become Ricochet the Invincible, Destroyer of Random Wildlife.

Freeform, that Repulsion-Flight is broken and absolutely hilarious. May as well share my usual spell toolbelt. though I aim for a mix of utility and kersploding. Robe - Vestment of Mirrors: [Evercold Ice] [Spider Silk] [Illusion Dust]I'm going with an Illusionist theme, so the illusion trail is nice. The Dualcasting synergizes well with a kit of single-projectile spells too. And of course, the regenerating shield, combined with good mobility means I rarely take damage. Wand - Faystep: [Rift Crystal] [Ninja Sword] [Philosopher's Stone]Teleports past enemies and walls, damaging enemies caught between. Great for reaching high places, navigating dungeons, dodging projectiles, and deals decent damage for a wand! Spell 1 - Energy Syphon: [Optic Lens] [Ectoplasm] [Caustic Acid]A ray that steals more mana than it costs, weakens defense, and can be cast continually. Spell 2 - Spinwali's Eldritch Missile Swarm: [Crystal Ball] [Diamond] [Seashell] [Rock]A cluster of missiles that deal 100 damage per hit, hit up to 10 times each, pass through terrain, and home in on foes. Versatile for single targets or swarms.

I believe I saw that set on the... Bay12 forums, was it? It's good to see people finding their way here.

I'm one of the folks from bay12, and I made this little thing: It's Lens+Silk+Rock+Crystal, and it's actually sort of useful. I call it Cagebane, because for some reason the little offshoots from silk look a hell of a lot like bees.

sweet mother of Sheogorath's boot... what have you done?!? Made a laser which redefines "orbital"? If you try to use it in any of the actual levels where enemies do that annoying thing known as "moving", though, you don't generally get such a pretty circular laser orbit. Still useful though.

My favorite spell thus far is explosive powder, explosive powder, ninja sword, ton of bricks. Aiming straight down at the floor will cause a massively strong explosion centered around your character (770 damage). It's basically covering your character with a decently large aura of absolute death. This is especially effective in the desert zone, where it can take out massive swarms of enemies instantly. The only problem is airborne combat, since the explosion doesn't happen if the attack is stopped short by the ninja sword's limited range before hitting anything.
My wand spell is usually some form of damage-less teleportation since it helps speeds things up so much.
I've also found some use in full guillotine blades, which can speed boss battles up significantly.

Just found a nice combination, which I call the bunny hop wand. Sundial, sundial, philosopher's stone, philosopher's stone, set to enchantment. Go into controls and set "use wand" to the same key as "jump", and set the left and right mouse buttons to spell 1 and 2. Now every time you jump you will be hasted to 242% speed (+142% speed). This gets better when you realize the wand doesn't only speed up your walking. Attach a vampire tooth to your robe, and you'll find that you regenerate at more than twice the normal rate when hasted. I haven't yet played with any other time-dependent materials.
