Hey everyone!
The Cavern Update has brought with it score attack mode. Right now the system is in its infancy and as it was a recent addition there isn't a whole lot of data to work off of as far as what are fair scores.
This will serve as the mega feedback thread for score attack mode. There's a couple things in particular I'm looking for, though feel free to throw out anything you feel is relevant.
Is the scoring fair?
Is getting an "A" trivial? Is it too hard? What kind of grades do you average? Do you feel you are fairly scored? The grade limits are rough approximations based on the number of enemies that spawn and the general layout of the zone, but are still ballpark and could be refined.
Is it meeting its goals?
The primary goal of Score Attack is to make all difficulties interesting, even for advanced players. We want to reward expert gameplay with high-tier materials that are more on their level, even when completing levels on the lowest difficulty. We also like the idea of giving new players a small handful of higher-grade materials to catch their eye and experiment with.
What are some other things you think should reward points?
We're all ears for cool objectives to further enhance score attack mode as we move forward through alpha. This also includes UI improvements or anything else that you feel would improve the experience.

Score Attack in my mind is perhaps a bit too difficult? I mean I casually played through the easiest difficulty in the forest, which included exploring for all the gems, killing enemies, etc. but I got an F. I think an F should symbolize someone speed-running through an area. It seems a bit too difficult to achieve good scores in the earlier levels. Which, by all means in great because it adds replay value to levels!
As for UI and everything, for me it seems a bit redundant to have your score tally at the end of the level and THEN have a statistics page. Perhaps at the end of a level, have like a tab system with like a "Score" tab and a "Stats" tab, so it's there at once instead of having to look through two different menus at different times.

Hm, that's weird, when I went through the game at the start and killed everything and opened the chests I got an A, so I have no idea how you managed to get an F. But I agree with the other thing, making the score and stats come together would be good.

A brief update for visibility: We've decided to scrap the score attack system.
Closing/locking thread. Thanks for the feedback!
